Why choose Readmore?
|
Why buy your textbooks from us? Here's why!
1. We offer USED textbooks! Used textbooks are a fraction of the cost you would pay on campus for a new textbook.
2. Even our NEW textbooks are cheap! If we've sold out of used textbooks, our new textbooks are almost always lower than the new books on campus.

Indiana State University Textbooks
|
- We at Readmore Bookstore sell college textbooks for classed offered at Indiana State University. We try to offer textbooks for as many classes as we can, but this is sometimes dampered by the lack of cooperation from the school. We can only offer you textbooks for classes that we KNOW about, so if the school or your professor does not submit an adoption for the textbooks to us, we do not know to sell them.
- Used Textbooks save you money! Readmore always tries to stock used textbooks first, and then we fill out our selection with new textbooks. The earlier you shop at the beginning of the semester, the better chance you will have of finding the used textbooks you are looking for.
- Required? Optional? What does that all mean? Some books are marked as required by your professors as books that are a MUST for the given class. Often times professors will also list books that they think will help students with their class. These books are listed as Optional on the shelf tags. We recommend the purchase of these books.
- Textbooks are expensive, but they are a valuable tool in your education. Please remember this next time you are in to buy your textbooks. :)
|
- You can sell your used textbooks back to us all throughout the year. Officially our 'Buyback' time is the last two week of the semester. This is when you will get the most for your textbooks.
- We get a lot of questions about buyback, so we thought to help the students out, we would answer some of them here:
- What determines the value of a book? Many factors determine the value. During our official buyback time, if the book is purchased by our store for resell, you can expect up to 50% of the purchase price. If the book isn't being bought for our resell, it has no value to our bookstore, and will be sent back to our wholeseller. We can only offer what our wholeseller will offer us, and that price is predetermined by them. We have NO CONTROL over this price.
- But I KNOW this book is being used again, why did I only get the wholesale price? This happens because either (1) we already have enough copies of the book and do not need any more or (2), we have not received an adoption from the professor telling us he/she is using the book again, so it 'appears' to have no value to us.
- I bought this book brand new and have kept it in mint condition. Why does it have NO VALUE? This generally happens when a new edition of that book has been announced or has already come out. Textbooks get updated often and old versions become out dated quickly. Another reason this could be happening is because our wholeseller is currently over-stocked.
